Is Zerona Worth the Cost?

Zerona body sculpting is said to be a miracle-worker. OK, so it won’t take you from a size 18 to a size 2, but based on the available information, it can help with rapid weight loss, getting rid of those stubborn fat areas, or jumpstarting the path to a new you. But is it really worth the cost?

Let’s back up a second. What exactly is Zerona? It’s essentially a low-level laser treatment that activates your fat cells into retreat. In most cases, you go in for a series of treatments over a two-week session. Each treatment takes 40 minutes, and you have to go in every other day during that two-week time period.

So how much does Zerona cost? Probably in the realm of $3,000 – 4,000. It’s not cheap, but it doesn’t require taking out a second mortgage on your house, either.

Still, with that amount of money, you want to be sure Zerona costs are worth every penny. It’s said to take off an average 3.64 inches. But here’s the thing: During that two-week treatment period, you are required to follow a strictly healthy diet, walk for 30 minutes a day, and avoid any alcohol or caffeine.

That in itself sounds like a good path toward a slimmer waist and better health. The 2010 Dietary Guidelines for Americans said that we should all be eating more fruits and vegetables as part of a healthy diet. Right now, adults in the U.S. consume only about 1.1 servings of fruit and 1.6 servings of vegetables per day.

What if we were to skip the $3,000 laser treatments and just follow the healthy and active lifestyle part? Now, for people who already follow such a diet and still can’t seem to lose weight, then Zerona might be a completely valid solution. But let’s not assume that it can single-handedly solve obesity. Over two in three adults are said to be overweight or obese, and lasers aren’t going to help everyone.

Before you fork over the money for Zerona costs, give yourself a two-week trial period of diet and exercise. Do you see the results already?
