Unfortunately, obesity in the United States is a serious issue. Nearly two-thirds of American adults are overweight or obese, and the figures aren’t going down anytime soon. The risk factors associated with obesity are staggering: type 2 diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, stroke, sleep apnea, certain kinds of cancer, osteoarthritis, and other health conditions. Obesity is also known to reduce the quality as well as the expectancy of life.
